My dear Blackwood
I return the proof at once because I see at page 5 an extract has dropped out, or has not been set up. In my m.s. there is a reference to the passage. Another reason why I do not retain it is that I cannot extend the article without weakening it. The details at my command were few, and I used all that were interesting.
Considering the number taken by the Libraries of the 3 volume edition, we do not think the subscription to the [Mill] by any means bad.
Don't you think it would be advisable to have the Phys[iology] for Schools 523 out ready for the new year -- that schools might begin upon it then?
Yours in haste
G. H. L.
Will you please send Kohl to my cub? 524
