Dear Blackwood
In a letter from Main just received he says his bookseller answered an inquiry respecting the Spanish Gypsy by saying it was "now being reprinted." 225 Is this true? Because Mrs. Lewes wishes her corrected copy to be printed from.
She would also be glad of a copy of Page's Advanced Text Book of Geology 226 if you will kindly send her one, and I should be glad of Volume II of the "Physiology of Common Life" -- in parts, if you have the parts. I want to make use of several passages, and don't care about sending my bound copy to the printers.
Don't believe a word Mrs. Lewes may say in depreciation of her new book -- it's famous! 227
Ever yours truly
G. H. L.
