My dear Blackwood
At last I have got through my task of rewriting the Physiology, 660 which has been a great pleasure to me as well as hard work, for I felt all along that the right manner had been got hold of, and I think the book will be the most intelligible as well as the most interesting that has yet been published on the subject.
The size of the woodcuts renders it necessary that the new book should be printed in the same form, as the Phy[siology] of C[ommon] L[ife] and as the matter is not much in quantity, it would perhaps be advisable to use the same type. This would make a volume of 240 or 250 pages which might sell at 3/6. But on such points you and Mr. Simpson will be better able to decide.
