My dear Sir
By this post I send you Part II of the Tale, 285 which contains all that there will be of political allusion in the story. I have got some way in Part III, but send you this second part that you may decide, and, if need be, begin printing. I am uncertain whether what remains will form as much as what is already in your hands, or more, but a hint from you as to whether you would like it lengthened or shortened will determine me to develope or merely sketch certain scenes. Believe me, my dear Sir,
Yours very truly
G. H. Lewes.
John Blackwood, Esq.
