My dear Blackwood
You were kind enough to say you would send Mrs. Lewes The Abode of Snow 309 -- if it has not already been sent to the Priory will you please order it to be sent here?, as she wishes to read it aloud of an evening.
The book gets on slowly amid usual depression. Her health does not improve and when we leave this -- on the 22d -- I propose taking her to Wales for a complete holiday in hopes that rest and bracing air may set her up.
I am hard at work and tolerably well. What superb weather we have at last. You must have too many letters to write for me to wish for any reply to this unless you have something special to say.
