My dear Blackwood
Your letter with checque arrived in due course. Seeing is Believing you will have in very good time, for I must get myself free to continue house hunting. "Oh! that mine enemy had let his house and hadn't found another." Then I have the visit to Edinburgh hanging over me as a dreadful necessity. Instead of enjoying it as I should have enjoyed it had my mind been disengaged from houses and furniture and worry I shall be in a state of remorse all the time. But I don't like sending the boy without seeing where (for seeing is believing you know!)
We shall certainly be at home on Wednesday to receive your Nephew, and only regret the cause which deprives us of the pleasure of seeing his father at the same time!
