Dear Nephew
Don't bother yourself any more about a house for I hope we are settled at last 796 -- unhappily we can't have it till next September and therefore contemplate going abroad for the summer.
I have unhappily a fresh succession of business just now which does not leave me free to make any engagements. 797 You will of course see us some day at Weybridge -- but when is not fixable yet.
We go to Jowett on the 7th. Great gathering yesterday at which the Crosses ought to have been present -- Burton, Calderon, 798 Rothschild, 799 Trollope, Lord Arthur Russell, 800 Lady Castletown, Lady Sebright, 801
Palgrave, 802 Mrs. Pattison, Pigott, Spencer, Rallston, FitzJames Stephen -- and the best of talk! 803
