My dear Lord
I am truly pleased that the last number of the Review which will appear under my rule should be strengthened by so admirable and well timed a paper as that you have sent, a proof of which will reach you shortly. My health forbids me to continue as editor, but the Review being a child of my own, I am of course interested in its success and hope to see it flourish after my reign.
Believe me, my dear Lord,
Yours very truly
G. H. Lewes.
Rt. Honble Viscount Amberley.
