MS: Trinity College, Cambridge.
The Priory, | 21 North Bank, | Regents Park.
Monday.
My dear Lord Houghton
I have sent on the letter.
Respecting breakfast on Wednesday, Virtue sternly shouts No; and Vice seductively whispers Yes. Of course the vulgar loudness of Virtue can't expect to carry the point. I side with Vice -- and will leave the consequences to your conscience.
Yours very faithfully,
G. H. Lewes.
