I beg to accept the offers contained in yours of the 15 Inst, for the "Physiology of Common Life," viz. £250 for the first 5,000 copies and £3 per thousand of each sixpenny part sold over and above this; or an equivalent sum in case any change in form and price of the book be hereafter deemed desirable.
You retaining a permanent interest of two fifths in the copyright. I remain, Gentlemen,
