Dear Barbara
I have not a copy of Seaside Studies or you should have received one by return of post. However I wrote to Blackwood to send you one which will reach you as soon as this. You will find a great deal about Anemones in it -- and more in the chapter on Parthenogenesis 910 if I remember aright.
You seem to be thoroughly enjoying your new place but say nothing of your sketching. I hope we shall see good results!
Glad you like [Jubal.] There are divine things in it -- but isn't she a divinity clothed in petticoats and flesh of an imperfect kind?
We are going to the Pattison's on Tuesday but only for three days. Polly would send her love if she knew I were writing. I send it for her.
