My dear Sir
It is twenty years since I was in Heidelberg and then only for two days so that there is no information I can give you about the place. Nor do I think I know any of the Literati or Professors there, although they probably know of me through the Life of Goethe -- and although you cannot need any introduction I shall be glad if my name can be of any service to you.
Ever faithfully yours
G. H. Lewes.
