GHL to Robert Lytton, London, [28 July 1867]
MS: Lady Hermione Cobbold.
The Priory, | 21. North Bank, | Regents Park.
Sunday.
My dear Lytton
Sir Henry Holland has ordered me abroad before I thought of going and I shall not therefore be able to come and have another bedside chat with you as I had proposed. I start tomorrow for the firwoods of Ilmenau, but whither our wanderings will lead us I don't know. My minister of the interior is troublesome. If you should happen know of a gentleman willing to exchange his liver for mine let me know!
Kind remembrances to Mrs. Lytton
Ever faithfully yours
G. H. L.
