Proofs returned by this post. As soon as the Prelude (Proem) is corrected will you kindly see that it, and the first four sheets are dispatched to James R. Osgood and Co. | Boston, U.S. | without waiting for our return of the revise; the others can follow when the printing is all done.
Does Mr. Simpson know whether any formalities are necessary for securing the copyright in Canada? and if so, will he see that they are gone through?
Mrs. Lewes is decidedly better. I think I may say that now she has fairly turned the corner and only wants feeding up. She begs me to join her sympathetic enquiries to mine respecting Mr. Simpson's health. As Mr. Winkle conjured Mr. Pickwick to save himself from drowning for his sake 372 -- so we conjure Mr. Simpson, the indispensable Simpson, not to be ill, for our sake.
