Dear Sir
Did you ever see Ravel in L'Etourneau? 342 If so you will remember the impression half tragic half comic which his acting of the terror produced, and will probably agree with me that Robson would produce a still greater impression in the part. The difficulty in the subject -- love for a married woman -- I see a way of eluding.
The piece was done at the Haymarket for Hudson, under the name of the Irish Post. 343 But it did not produce much effect, as you may imagine in his hands such a part could not. If the piece would suit you and Robson would like to play the part, I shall be happy to do it. 344
