Dear Sir
In reply to yours of yesterday's date 207 I beg to inform you that the [rule] to which you refer in the first paragraph of your letter is [local.] I will inquire respecting the missing 80 pages of your M.S. Unless it is in Miss Evan's possession I cannot at present say where it is.
The item £7.12.0 is solely for the [corrections and making up] of your Pamphlet. 208 The corrections were very numerous. You are entirely wrong in supposing that the sum "includes not only the completion of" your "Pamphlet, but the expense of adapting it for the Review."
