My Dear Sir
We agree with pleasure to make the first payment to you for Adam cash on publication instead of bill at six months.
The printers were, as I expected, all wrong in their calculation of the extent, and you will speedily see as full and handsome a page as you could wish. I thought some sheets would have been ready by this time, but in a day or two I shall be able to write with them.
Wishing your new venture all success and tolerably sanguine, Believe me
always yours truly
John Blackwood.
G. Eliot Esq.
