My Dear Sir
I write a line to say that we may now consider the Bedesman fairly round the corner and coming in a winner at a slapping pace. Which being interpreted means that Adam Bede is moving rapidly. Mudie had 100 a few days ago and another 100 yesterday and there are other dropping sales both in London and here.
I am off to golf (11 a.m.) and send this hurried note, as good news cannot travel too fast.
