My Dear Madam
I hope this will find you safely re-established in your pleasant home and both greatly the better for your expedition.
I have no particular features to report in the sale of Felix since I last wrote, but there is movement. Mr. Langford will I think be off for his holiday, but if Mr. Lewes is in the Row at any time the clerk in charge will show him how it has gone if he gives this message from me.
Have you ever looked into Hamley's book? 506 It is I think going to be a great permanent success. You know I have always thought him in many respects about the ablest man I ever met and the quickest to make action follow thought. If the occasion arises it will be a good day for the Country if they put him into high command.
Your admirer the female hair dresser is a character. She was the manager for a hair dresser who behaved shabbily to her, and by the advice of her numerous supporters she started on her own account. She had the sense to consult my brothers and Mr. Simpson about all business matters and she is now rapidly making a fortune. Their business consultations would have been rich food for you. She laid before one meeting a long letter of advice from the great Truefitt 507 whose business is worth £7000 a year! This letter was nearly the death of me. A general planning out a campaign was nothing to it. He is a Napoleon in his Trade is Truefitt.
There is the gong so I must close but I shall write soon again.
